I have a NextGen gallery slideshow in the Feature Box Plugin, and I want to link each image to a specific page or post.  How can I do this?

Thanks.

There is no way to use nextgen to link to pages and posts other than those that nextgen "publishes".  If you need to use it like a rotating banner with each image linking off try using the Meteor slides plugin instead.  It isn't directly integrated into the plugin BUT, it does have easily configured widgets that you can drag into the widget area.

Thanks.  Will give it try.  Does the SH Slideshow or the Dynamic Content Gallery have that option as well?  It seems to me in your tutorial on which is better Dynamic Content Gallery or Next Gen gallery you showed your website where you were using the slideshow as a click through to content.  Or maybe I just misheard it.

Ted, SH slideshow has been discontinued and is no longer available.  However, the Dynamic Content Gallery is good especially for automatically changing what is displayed.  For example, perhaps you want to display the latest 5 posts in a given category, or you want to display the latest posts in 5 given categories.  DCG will automatically do this for you.  And it will easily do this with pages as well.

However, DCG is quite a bit more complicated to set up and use than Meteor Slideshow is.  So if you are always planning on displaying a given 5 slides which will link to a give 5 posts, pages or remote sites then Meteor is easier.

DCG is "dynamic", Meteor isn't.
