This is the fifth in a series of lessons on how to use the NextGen Gallery Plugin for WordPress. In this lesson we add multiple images to the gallery by importing a folder that we have uploaded via FTP. This is one of 3 ways to upload images to the gallery.

The next thing for us to do is… the 3rd way for us to do this is to import an image folder which is another potential solution. And so, in this case, that’s going to require Filezilla and if we go to… it’s Customize Thesis Like a Pro Lesson 5 and wp content, plugins…actually, back to wp content. Uploads is right here. So what we want to do is we want to create an uploads folder… uploads and then…oh, it must be going in 2011. So we’ll create a new folder – 2011. And then… you know, I don’t think that’s right. Gallery, Tuck and Robin Lakes. CTLP Lesson 5 Gallery Tuck and Robin Lakes. So I think something is not quite right here. Okay, wp content gallery, this is what it is, my mistake. Create directory gallery. Let’s just see what’s in there… nothing. Okay and let’s see what’s in there with this one… nothing.
Okay so what we could do here then is back in our gallery, we can take a folder and drop it in and that’s what we’re going to do now. We’re going to take this Mt Stuart folder and drop it in over here. Although, I need to actually be able to drop into a white space… there we go. Mt Stuart, drop it in there and in fact, I think I’m just going to get rid of these too while I’m at it since they didn’t create it properly.
And this is a fairly quick way obviously, to do this similar thing especially if you want to set and forget and if you have lots of files like that. Okay while we’re letting that do its thing here, let’s see. Let’s go back down to overview. So right now, we have 3 galleries and it’s showing the Tuck and Robin Lakes Gallery even though I deleted that gallery. That’s interesting. Let’s see, have we finished uploading? Yeah, we’ve finished uploading those files. So now what we’re going to do is we are going to import an image folder, browse and we’re going to take Mt Stuart, import the folder. Okay, 84 pictures successfully added.
