In Lesson 14 of our Build a Professional Services Website using the Thesis theme and WordPress we finish covering integrating your site with Google and then move on to important administrative tasks to keep your Thesis theme website healthy and running smoothly.

We go through WordPress backup basics such as when and what to backup on your site. Then we show how to backup your site manually and automatically. For the automatic backup we discuss how to pick the right plugin and show how to use EZPZ One Click Backup but we highly recommend using BackupBuddy.

The lesson concludes by showing how to upgrade plugins, the Thesis theme and WordPress. It is vital to the health of your website that you keep it updated and properly maintained. You don’t want to make it easy for hackers to get into your site.

Asif, I would just try it again. If it doesn’t work twice in a row then I would try a different backup. If that still doesn’t work I would look on Odesk or Elance for someone who is a MySQL expert to try to help you recover the database.
