In this video tutorial we will install and configure the WP eStore plugin for WordPress. This plugin provides all of the catalog and product management as well as the shopping cart functions for our new WordPress based ecommerce website.
In this third lesson we will go through a pre-flight checklist which will help us gather all of our product information and deals primarily with the product relationships. Then we will purchase and install the WP eStore plugin. Next, we will configure all of the initial general settings. Some of these settings will be for the Shopping Cart, three methods of Shipping, the Products Per Page Limit, using Button Images, adding a Thank You Page After Purchase, Links for Empty and Full Shopping Cart, adding a Checkout Page, Paypal Email Address Checking, Email Settings for the WordPress system, and more.
We follow that with setting up the WP eStore Payment Gateway settings including the type of payment options, PayPal settings and types of checkout. Finally, we are going to set up the WP eStore product categories which are our organizational grouping of products. This will include entering a category name, a description, a target URL and a category thumbnail.
