I’m going to open this session up now for Q&A.
Let’s see, Caroline asked… yeah. Caroline, I’m just going to unmute your microphone.
Rick: Hey Caroline.
Does MailChimp Work the Same as AWeber for Free Products?
Caroline: I was just wondering if it’s possible with MailChimp to have the free downloadable item in the same manner as you’re doing with AWeber.
Rick: Well, yes it is possible. It’s not exactly the same manner because they have a different redirection system.
I use MailChimp a lot. I just hadn’t used it for the downloadable item.
Rick: Yeah and all you’re doing is redirecting them to the download page upon confirmation.
Okay so you just put that in the form where instead of them just getting a standard email, it would be the page they would go to.
Okay, that makes sense. Thank you.
Rick: You’re welcome. Anything else?
Not at the moment that I can think of. Thank you.
Rick: Okay, you’re welcome. Have a good day.
Rick: Bye bye.
Customers See List Names When They Unsubscribe
Okay Dr. Jeff. What you got? Oh Jeff says, “Pick your list name carefully. Customers will see them when they unsubscribe.” I suppose you’re right. You probably don’t want to say ‘dumb sucker’ list.
How to Use AWeber with a Product and No WP eStore?
And okay so Bliss wants to know how to use AWeber with a product and no WP eStore. I don’t know, Bliss. I’m sorry. I know how to do it with WP eStore but…somehow, you’ve got to have a system for taking money and collecting the money and getting the money to you. So I suppose you could probably use a PayPal button. But somewhere in this process, you need to have a mechanism for actually processing the transaction. And if you look in their emails, if we open up this email, you can see they have got that little you know, product button.
But the… it’s really dependent upon this URL and I see that Etsy has a little configuration that you can do with them. But that’s not really… I don’t know how you would deal with Etsy because that’s not what I teach. I mean, I teach a limited range of this information and the limit of that range is WP eStore, MarketPress and WooCommerce. So we’ll talk about how to do that kind of stuff another software as well. But I don’t know how to do it in Etsy for example.
Okay, looks like that’s the end of the questions so everybody have a great weekend and I look forward to checking with you guys next week.
