Hi,

I am working on the SEO for my site and found a series of plugins on YOAST.com. They seem pretty good. I am just wondering if anyone would recommend their SEO plugins or others?

Thanks.

Ted

Sure, Yoast SEO is great.  It adds a lot of terrific features and it has a couple of options that neither Thesis nor Genesis have.  Namely the ability to specify meta title and description for custom post type archives.

Are you working in Thesis or Genesis?

There is no reason not to use it.  But it's only as good as you are, so follow the recommendations.

Thanks Rick,

Right now I am working with the free version of the plugin, I hope to upgrade in the next couple months...

I have several product lines and on the product page for each, I chose the manufacturer name as the focus keyword.

I am using WooCommerce for my eStore, and in it there are several products under each manufacturer. When I started doing the SEO for the WooCommerce pages - I get this notification:

"You've used this focus keyword once before, be sure to make very clear which URL on your site is the most important for this keyword."

How do I make very clear which URL on my site is most important for a keyword?

Thanks!

Ted

There isn't a formula for that - besides using unique focus keywords.  I would simply accept that as advisory and make sure you don't have actual duplicate content.
