Hi, probably overlooking something simple, but I can't see what it is.

You can see the problem at https://www.elderlawfirm.com/questions-and-answers/

I'm trying to have a link to the article using the short link typed into a custom field...but its not working.

I'm using the BYOB Post Meta Fields Extended box – Version 2.1.5 box.

As you can see from the attached image, I have this html before the custom field: <a href="

and I have this after the custom field: "View Answer</a>

However, its not working. The page evidently is not using the last part of the html (i.e, the </a>) because the html text appears rather than the link itself. See second attachment titled incomplete link.

Thanks in advance, byob-custom-post-meta-field-box.jpgImage Enlarger

Thanks for your feedback Pierre. Not quite sure what you're saying however - Yes, the box pulls its "Value" from the custom field that is on the particular Post. Beyond that, I'm not sure that I understand what you're telling me.

All the best...

Hi

Try :

HTML to be displayed before the custom field contents
<span class="byobfieldo">

HTML to be displayed after the custom field contents
</span>

In the post Value field : (example)

<a href="http://website.org/" title="View Answer" rel="nofollow external">View Answer</a>
