Hi Rick,

I gave up trying to style the footer menu in Agility Nude 2.1.5.3. In the bottom footer I have a Footer menu                                <ul id="bottomfootermenu" class="menu">. I cannot style it in Custom CSS section (I find it more convenient than in Design section). Here is the code below.

#bottomfootermenu a {
	padding: 0px;
	color: #429B6D;
	font-size: 8px;
}

It just doesn't work. Though I successfully customized the top menu, this way.

Thank you for your help,
Alex

Alex, I'd need a link to your site in order to be able to help with this.  Note that the Forum mangles longish URLs so you need to insert the link as a text link.  Here is a little video demonstrating how to do this.

Alex, the footer menu styles are already pretty "specific" so you have to over ride that specificity.  You can do that by adding to your selector.  Something like this will work:

#footer_area_bottom #bottomfootermenu a {
 padding: 0px;
 color: #429B6D;
 font-size: 8px;
}

Thanks Rick,

Everything is fine, now the custom styling works. So, I have two ways of styling, one is in the design section, another is in the custom css section.

Which one of these two methods hurts SEO the least?

Thanks

Neither will affect SEO.  You may have a TINY bit of extra code when you write the custom code vs using design options AND your own custom code (especially if it is structural) can break the responsiveness of the menu.  But this will not have any affect on SEO.
