I gather that use of the Thesis Navigation Menu is now discouraged in favour of using the WordPress Navigation Menu.

The name/title of the two BYOB navigation menu plugins seems to imply that they are primarily intended for use with the Thesis navigation menu rather than the WordPress navigation menu.

Can you clarify their facilities/use with respect to the two different navigation menus.

Obviously the names of things are in flux given the announcement to abandon the Thesis Nav Menu.  However both of my Thesis Nav Menu plugins act on either the Thesis Nav Menu or on the menu that is selected as "Primary" - in the same way that Thesis Design Options does.

Both plugins work equally well with the WordPress menu that is designated "Primary".

Is the current situation that on a new site the WP Nav Menu should be used rather than the Thesis Nav menu?

In all cases/situations?

Does this mean that the BYOB Thesis WP Menus Plugin should be used to configure the menu?

In all cases/situations?

If the above is true, have both of the BYOB Thesis menu Plugins been overtaken/replaced by the BYOB Thesis WP Menus Plugin?

There isn't any reason why anyone should be using the Thesis Nav Menu instead of the WordPress menu system.

All 3 of my current menu plugins treat either the "Primary" WordPress menu or the Thesis Nav Menu the same.

If a person is still using a Thesis Nav Menu then the styles created by all of my menu plugins will apply to that menu.  If they are using a WordPress menu instead my plugins will style it instead.

There are currently menu 3 plugins:

1.  The BYOB Simple Thesis Nav Menu plugin - is an easy way to style either menu

2.  The BYOB Thesis Nav Menu plugin - is a full featured but complex version of the plugin above.  They should not be used together.

3.  The BYOB Thesis WP Menus Plugin - is a means of adding multiple menus to Thesis.  It has a limited ability to style any menu.  It's not as easy as #1 and it's not as full featured as #2 but can be used along side of either 1 or 2.  It can be used alone as well.

Thanks Rick for that total clarification.
