Hi Rick, I'm just wondering why the little arrows are there when I hover on top levels with for my homepage, but not the other pages. I really want them gone to keep the spacing the same between the menu items.

Hi Jocelyn

Those arrows help navigate your site. If someone quickly hovers your navigation bar the arrow indicates sub menu items are present.  As the owner you know they are there. I as a visitor might not see the other pages if I quickly scan menu with my mouse. In mobile view it is replaced by a + sign indicating additional menu items.

Just a side note but are you using a caching plugin? If not you may want to consider something like WP Supercache and MaxCDN for hosting your image and scripts to assist in Page Load. Not sure what Rick would recommend in this case.

Site looks quite nice BTW smile

Thanks Dennis. My question wasn't why are they there, but rather why are they there on some pages and not others. Some of my pages do not display them, while others do, just wondering how that could be.

We do use a caching plugin but were in the process of changing hosts the past couple days and had to remove it entirely for the move. Once everything is groovy again, we will be restoring it. Thanks for the compliment, this was a big project.

It actually may have been an artifact from the move. It actually look like the arrows are there for all pages now. I am having trouble teasing out the styles to make the arrows grey like the text so they show prior to the hover.

Thanks.

Jocelyn, it's a beautiful site.  VERY nicely done.

The arrows will show up when there a drop down submenu.  Otherwise they aren't there.

You can set the "darkness" of the arrows in the menu options.

If you want to manually change it via CSS you can use the selector .sf-arrows .sf-with-ul:after, it is the border color that creates the arrow.

Thank you very much! This was my first big Thesis 2.1 project. Most of my other Thesis 2.1 projects have been template customizations or small projects. This one was a nice challenge. Thanks for the tip above. Managed to make those arrow visible.

Thanks for your help!!
