I just viewed an interesting video. The message I appreciated most was using thank you pages to introduce an already engaged site visitor to take another action. If you watch this video from the 6:30 mark thru the 8 minute mark you will see what I mean.
I like the
- use of video on the thank you page
- The graphics used on the Thank you page
- the call to action/offer presented.
I presume that something like aweber is involved and wonder what else specifically would need to happen in order to create an effective Thank you page on steroids. I also happen to believe that a lesson or series of lessons could come out of this discussion. I think that there are many websites out there that could use a little more marketing focus.
What do you think?

The thank you page is the end result of someone doing something you want them to. Once they've done that thing they are automatically directed to the thank you page.
If they signed up on an autoresponder list then you would want to set up that list to automatically direct them to that page.
I teach that with WP eStore, WP eMember, Shopp and Aweber. I know there are other services (like MailChimp) where you can do that as well.
