Rick,

Are keywords typed in text in a widget on a page less effective than keywords typed in the actual content area of the page?  Just wondering.

Yes.  Remember that key words are supposed to be descriptive of the content of the page.  Placing keywords anywhere that have nothing or little to do with the content of the page will be ignored.  Thus the main body of the article should contain whatever significant keywords you are using.

This is especially true in Thesis 2.1 where schema is fully implemented.
