Hi Rick,

SEO doctory add-on, reports that my home page is not indexible.

I do not have Wordpress "do not index" checked. I am not sure where to start...

I would appreciate any advice you have on this ?

Thanks,

Ronen.

Two things -

First - it is indexed by Google - you can see that by Googling "Site:appgo2market.com"

Second - You appear to be using more than one plugin for SEO.  There are conflicting "canonical" instructions in the head.  This can only be caused by a plugin.

I also checked your robots.txt file and there is no instruction that keeps it from indexing the home page

Thanks.

I am not sure what two plugins might those be.

I have all in one SEO only. Maybe Thesis SEO collides with it ?

I just removed all in one SEO, but it SEO Doctor still refers to the site as non indexble. weired.

BTW: What's canonical ?

If there is a problem, I'd like to fix it, but I don't understand what's wrong, and what to look for.

Thanks,

Ronen.

All In One SEO isn't compatible with Thesis - which means that neither can do the job properly.  You don't need any SEO plugin with Thesis.

The canonical URL is the url that you want Google to use when indexing your site.  As you probably know there can be several url paths to a given post, or custom post type (this isn't so critical with pages).  The canonical url tells Google to ignore all other urls in favor of the one specified.  This solves many duplicate content issues that arise in WordPress sites.

SEO Doctor is more than likely simply mistaken.  Or it is confused by the different canonical urls.  Either way, you can always check this by asking Google what it has indexed.
