Hi Rick, I am having trouble aligning my buttons on this page.  Can you help a brother out?

Hi

One idea, would be to remove the inline styling (red) : <td style="padding: 10px;">

And use CSS like so :

#post-1365 table .alignleft {
margin: 1em 0.5em 1em 0 !important;
}

I tried that in the sandbox and made a mess of it. I really appreciate the suggestion, and I am sure that the poor results are due to my lack of understanding code. I really need to learn that someday....

Hi

I see that your "custom.css" is empty and that you are using a plugin from Rick to add an extra stylesheet.

You access your "custom.css" from here : Dashboard > Thesis > Custom File Editor, pasting your new CSS at the bottom of the file, and hit the green Save button.

It looks to me like you have this resolved.  Am I right?

Not really. The bottom right button is off a tad. Wish I knew CSS. Wish I knew more about html.

The problem is that you have non-breaking spaces inside your tables.

This really is the worst possible way to layout buttons like that.  Especially when you add inline styles to those tables.

Well it's good to know that I've managed to top the list for something, even if it's worst html table. What would be the right way to do this? I need code that I can copy/past so that I can add the buttons & links.

Thanks again for the ideas

At the moment - If you just get rid of your non breaking spaces in the table you should be fine.  Look at the table in the text view.
