Anyone created a custom print.css file for Genesis?

I know there is a Genesis Printstyle plugin but it does not provide all the options, etc. I would like.

Most of the WordPress instructions begin by adding a few lines to the header.php file so that the print.css file is called.

But when you open the header.php file, Genesis says not to modify this file.

I am using the Parallax Pro theme, and it displays the post in the middle of the screen.

When you print the post, it uses the same LARGE font, and prints it in the middle part of the page with lots of white space in the left and right margins.  So a relatively small posts prints on lots of pages.

I don't need anything fancy, just the website title, tagline, post title, post content and copyright.  No sidebars, navigation, etc.

I would like the links to display the URL's and change the color of the fonts to black when printed.

Thank-you.

Reece - you can add your own print stylesheet using the head scripts section in Genesis Settings.  The code below can be used as a sample:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-content/print.css" type="text/css" media="printer" />

I decided to use the Print-o-matic and Print-Pro-matic plugins.

See me other post for more information.
