Hi, I have a question... I'm getting some error messages from Google with regard to Woocommerce. it says,

Top Errors (5 maximum)

Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site:

Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified

Top Warnings (5 maximum)

Warnings are suggestions for improvement. Some warnings can enhance your appearance on Search; some warnings can become errors in the future. The following warnings were found on your site:

Missing product ID

Missing field “brand”

Missing field “sku”

I have done research and also posted a support ticket with Woocommerce regarding this issue. However, what's happening is it's throwing off errors with Google because the schema is not coming through. Or at least that's what I'm able to gather. This is what Google is showing me. The product ID comes up blank as does the SKU.

"Product","@id":"https:\/\/performingbiz.com\/product\/the-indie-venue-bible\/#product","name":"The Indie Venue Bible","image":"https:\/\/performingbiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/indievenuebible.jpg","description":"<p>The Indie Venue Bible is a revolutionary live music venue directory that was created with the needs of the touring\/live performing artist in mind. It lists over 32,000 venues and 3,500 booking agents in the US and Canada.<\/p>
",
"sku":""}</script>

I guess my question is, is this a Woocommerce,  Thesis, or Agility problem? I assume that it is either woocommerce or thesis due to the fact that they just recently both upgraded.

All of my products have an ID and an SKU. Google isn't seeing them. Any advice, because this is giving my client a negative impact with Google.

Can you give a link to the page. Presume site is performingbiz.com

Is the problem the backslashes?

Keith

Make sure you backup before upgrading and making changes.
Best results when one question per thread, link to site, version of WP, Thesis and skin.
http://www.kwjassociates.co.uk - Wordpress 5.0.2 – Thesis 2.7.1 - Pearsonified 1.3

*** Biggest cause of problems is now the cache, whether it is a plugin, the browser or your host's server. ***
*** Do not edit Skin and Editor CSS - make changes using Custom CSS. ***
*** Do not edit core files - make changes using custom.php or master.php. ***

The page is https://performingbiz.com/product/the-indie-venue-bible/

Backslashes look ok because within a script.

Have you considered Yoast?

Sorry, the link to the page having trouble is https://performingbiz.com/product/the-indie-venue-bible/

I use Yoast. That's why I'm puzzled as to why this has occurred.

I did get a response from Woocommerce. They have sent me here. So, they're asking everyone with this issue to add some PHP script to their headers. They claim it is a theme issue.

PS I noticed the backslashes also, but they are not really there.

Can you explain how you are obtaining these results? Are you putting the page through some sort of tester.

I read this the other day:

Does that help?

Hi, Auke Jongbloed, over at Woocommerce support, says this is a theme issue. Google sent me a report where I thought it was only the one product. But it is all my products. There is a test you can do for structured data. Here is one of my pages https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fperformingbiz.com%2Fproduct%2Fthe-indie-venue-bible%2F

Thanks for that link, Keith. Chris assures me it will not impact me negatively.. He says it's to show you that you're not AMP compliant. I am researching AMP right now, but as long as there is no negative impact, I don't see the need to worry about it.

When I realised the test you were doing, I remembered what Chris had said recently.

Thank you for your help, Keith. When I started seeing that the fixes for this problem were to change the schema, I decided I needed to dig a little to find out what I could about AMP. It sounds like a bandaid for websites to do mobile devices. Still reading though.
