1st time using WP 3.4.2 with Theis 1.8 just setting up the website.
Everything is working fine except for the fact that the text does not wrap around the image.
When I am in the editor screen it all looks fine but when it is published it does does nothing.
I am using captions too..
Here is

Thanks

Karen

Karen, the problem is that WordPress has changed a lot since Thesis 1.8.  You need to upgrade to Thesis 1.85 for the captions to look right in WordPress 3.4

Since this is a new website and we are just starting out that is not a problem I hope.  Do you have a video or lesson on how to update Thesis?

Step by step so I don't loose any of the website and have to start all over?

What about the website that I built already for upgrading to 3.4 and also thesis with all the plug ins?  It sounds overwhelming.

Thanks Rick for advise.

Karen, updating WordPress (and plugins and Thesis) is a fact of life.  So the best thing to do is to EMBRACE it and keep on doing it until you are comfortable with it.

Right now there is no reason why you shouldn't be using WordPress 3.4.2, Thesis 1.8.5 and the latest versions of my plugins.

I do have a video on upgrading to Thesis 1.8.5.  However it sounds like you really need Lesson 14 of How to Create a Professional Website using Thesis.

I have built several website using your guidance.  Okay so I upgraded to 1.8.5 but captions are still not showing.  Do you think there might be something in custom style sheet that needs to be changed.  I went to Thesis help but could not find help with this.  Here is the link to the page, we did put a caption on the line for caption.

Any help is appreciated from anyone.

The caption is actually there – unfortunately it is white so it's difficult to see.  It gets its font color from the color of the main body text.

Try adding this:

.custom .format_text .wp-caption p{color:#111111;}

This was not helpful. Just trying to confirm if it is done in Thesis or under custom

OK, if we are talking about Thesis 1.85 then that code does go into your custom.css file.  Really this is the only place CSS code that you create should go.
