Hi Rick,

Woocommerce sends automatically mails when a client orders from the webshop. In Woocommerce you can change some things about how those mails look. But as i want to adjust the text (not the header or footer) i must change the mail template. Is that reasonably good doable? Is there an example how that can be done?

Kind regards Bas

It's reasonably doable IF you are comfortable with HTML.  If you aren't then it isn't.  However if you search the Plugin repository you will find WooCommerce email template editors.  Something like this https://wordpress.org/plugins/email-text-customizer-for-woocommerce/

WordPress doesn't use standard HTML files.  However you can use html within the PHP files.  That is what they are doing.
