I just ran pingdom on http://www.ruach.org because it has been loading very slowly. The results say there is a redirect from httpp://www.ruach.org to https//www.ruach.org. I am using GoDaddy as the host (not my choice), and Agility as the skin. I know I used Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection after I applied the SSL.

I am also getting one 301 redirect and one connection error. Is there an easy way to track these down and fix them?

I'm not sure what other information might be helpful. Any ideas would help.

Thanks,

Marcy

Marcy, step 1 is to get rid of the SSL plugin.

Use Better Search and Replace to convert all instances of http://ruach to https://ruach.

I've noticed lately that 301s are being caused by using older Google analytics tracking code. Changing to the latest seems to solve that.

Rick,

As always, thanks for your help.

Now that tax season is over, I'll be getting back to my websites. I was wondering, have you done away with the weekly live help sessions? Since this website design stuff is so part time for me, I'm sure I'll still need help. And it is always helpful to hear other people's questions.

Regards,

Marcy

Rick,

Is Better Search and Replace another plugin? I found Better Search Replace, and Search Replace, when I searched plugins - is either of them the one you like?

Thanks,

Marcy

Better Search and Replace is the plugin that I recommend that you use to replace all of the database entries that show the old url.  In addition I would also search and replace

  1. http://www.ruach
  2. https://www.ruach

replace them both with https://ruach

No I haven't done away with them.  I will start them up again next week.
