Hi,

I'm looking to add containers (place holders) for ads to my site.  I'm comfortable with using widgets for adding ad script to the sidebar.

What I'd like to know is how to add containers (place holders) for ad script to my front page in between the featured box and attention box.  And also between the attention box and the featured content area.

Also, I want to add a widget area inside my content specifically for an ad place holder in single pages (posts).  This will be a great help to drop ad script inside the content without having to go into each post to do it manually.  Is this possible?  If so, when I'm in the skin editor, where would I place the new widget box inside the template?

If it's not possible to add a widget inside content, then is there another way I can do this other than pasting the script code directly into the content of the post?

As for adding an ad place holder to the header next to the Thesis header image, am I correct in thinking that simply changing the column configuration to 2 columns and then adding a Thesis header image to one and a widget area to the other is the right way to go?  EDIT: Got my answer to this question.

Thanks in advance 🙂

OK, for others who might come across this question:

The easiest way to do that is to (within the skin editor) place an Agility Content Grid Section below the Feature box area.  Make sure you give it a name you will recognize.

Then in Skin Content you can choose to make it a single column widget area.

This is slam dunk in Agility

Hey Rick,

Thanks for answering this question.  I tried it and it worked a treat for the front page.

Is it possible to have something similar inside the content?

Basically I'm looking for an easier way to place my ad script into each single post without having to do it manually or use a plugin.  Is this something I can do inside the skin editor?

The script is one standard script, so it's not a new script for each single post.  If the Agility Content Grid Section will do the trick for single posts, is it a matter of dropping it inside the Typical 2 Column Content Area?  If so, does it go in between column 1 and 2 or above or below?

Thanks!

In this case I would add a new widget area somewhere inside of column 1 in the Single template
