I hope this is within the scope of what I can ask here.

Currently, we collect payment information using Gravity Forms, with the visitor entering payment information into Gravity Forms before it is passed upon submit to authorize.net. Example - http://www.ruach.org/donate.

We want to change this so that the visitor is passed to authorize.net BEFORE entering payment information. Authorize.net has html code to redirect, embed, or use iframes and lightboxes. They all talk about creating and hosting an html page. How would I do that if I'm using Agility?

Having no idea how clear I'm being, https://developer.authorize.net/api/reference/features/accept_hosted.html#Integrating_the_Form_using_a_Redirect will take you to the redirect. Scrolling down from there explains how to use lightboxes and iframes. I don't know hardly anything about this so I'm trying to figure it out. The idea is that we need to be more PCI compliant than we are right now and not have our visitors using our website to enter any payment information.

This will be triggered when the submit button is clicked - there is a redirect option and query passthroughs in the Gravity Forms form setup.

I hope this is makes some sense. I'm trying to figure out how to integrate all of this.

Thanks,
Marcy

Make sure you backup before upgrading and making changes.
Best results when one question per thread, link to site, version of WP, Thesis and skin.

*** Biggest cause of problems is now the cache, whether it is a plugin, the browser or your host's server. ***
*** Do not edit Skin and Editor CSS - make changes using Custom CSS. ***
*** Do not edit core files - make changes using custom.php or master.php. ***

Marci - Gravity forms claims they are PCI compliant - https://docs.gravityforms.com/is-gravity-forms-pci-compliant/

Have you had an audit by Authorize.net suggesting otherwise?

The instructions Athorize.net offer for their Accept Hosted system really requires a knowledgeable expert to implement.  Doing it yourself probably poses a greater risk to your client than using an already compliant system.

Rick,

Gravity Forms is PCI compliant for anything passed through to them. Apparently PCI compliance, even by a web host, may not include your pages, only theirs.

The concern is that our visitors are typing their payment information directly onto our webpage. The client would rather the visitor complete their payment information within authorize.net, which apparently can be done with a redirect to either an embedded form, a popup iframe, or another webpage. I'm finding this very confusing, so I hope I'm giving you enough information.

One page in question is http://www.ruach.org/donation. They want the bottom section gone and redirected to authorize.net using that Accept Hosting. I'm having a tough time with this one. I am far from a knowledgeable expert in this.

Our plan B is to switch to a host that is PCI compliant for the sites it hosts. SiteGround GoGeek is one of those.

(Everyone must know a Marci who spells it with an 'i'. All of a sudden, no one can spell my name right. It's happening a lot lately!grin)

Thanks for your help,
Marcy

Marcy

If you look at my website, link below, there is a donate button. This goes off my site direct to PayPal - simple.

Only takes a small amount of code.

I would have thought Authorize have something similar but I have not found it yet.
