Hi
I'm using Thesis Classic and have updated to WP 3.8 I also updated
the Thesis 2.1.6.
When I click the Category tabs the link takes me
to a page with just the background color. No copy.
When I try to update the permalinks to /%monthnum%/%category%/%postname%/
and click the Category tabs the link takes me to a 404 page
How do I fix this. Thanks for any help

Ken - I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I've been travelling the last few days.
First, remove the monthnum from the permalink and save it. Then if it doesn't work send me a link to a category archive page that actually has posts with that category so I can see what happens.
Note, none of this works if there aren't posts with that category assigned to it.

Ken, I just had a chance to watch your screencast. Do categories 1 & 5 actually have posts assigned to them?
If so, try deactivating all plugins and see what happens.

I think I did what you suggested. I deactivated the plugins
no change I am using Revolution slider and WP-Post Ratings.
I eliminated the MonthNum no change

Ken I think this is related to your .htaccess file not being writeable. Note that directly below the Save Changes button there is a note to that affect.
This means you need to manually add your rewrite rules to your .htaccess file.
