Not sure if this is the right forum.

I have 2 domains hosted with Blue Host.  About 9:30 pm CST, I was editing one of the sights, and WordPress became unresponsive.

Just to make sure, I had not misinstalled or mangled something, I tried the other domain and it did not show up.

I tried bluehost.com and it came up.

I used the control panel login and received the following message:

Error

Memcache doesn't appear to be turned on
  fatal at Lock.pm line 70 ('Memcache doesn't...', 'HASH(0xc742d0)')
  lock at Lock.pm line 27 ('Lock=HASH(0xc743e0)')
  new at Throttle.pm line 63 ('Lock', 'HASH(0xc71760)')
  _concurrent_lock at Throttle.pm line 199 ('Throttle=HASH(0xc...')
  DESTROY at Ex/App.pm line 43 ('Throttle=HASH(0xc...')
  eval {...} at Ex/App.pm line 43
navigate at App.pm line 124 ('main')
  eval {...} at App.pm line 122
navigate at cplogin line 20 ('main')

I clicked on Start, Run, CMD (Windows DOS box), typed ping domain1.com and received "Request timed out" four times.  I pinged domain2.com and received "Request timed out" four times.

I worked on something else for another 1.5 hours – still no joy!

I tried calling the Toll Free 24/7 telephone number of 888-401-4678 and got a busy signal.

Hmmm.  Wonder what's up?  Scheduled maintenance?

How does this work into their 99.9% network uptime guarantee?

I will try it again in the morning.

Here are my domain names in case I forget to list them in my post: http://www.LadyLuckDiary.com, http://www.TulsaFencing.com, http://www.GamblingTaxInstitute.com and  http://www.TaxThinkers.com

Just thought to try traceroute on ladyluckdiary.com

Here are the results.  Nothing broken till it gets to BlueHost.  (I have seen it "time out" in dallas when they accidentally cut a fiber optic line.)

69.89.31.222 is from United States(US) in region North America

Mystery Solved!

Don't know why my last post didn't post.

At about 12:30 am CST, I went to BlueHost.com and clicked on Help Center.

Read a message that Provo Power was replacing a transformer near one of their data centers and they were running on UPS power.  They gave an ETA of when they expected the repairs to be completed.

They did not say if it was weather related or scheduled maintenance.
