Hi Rick,

I launched my website this week and it's been a fun week.

I tried to go into my CFE in Thesis to edit a little bit of my footer and to try and get some white spots out of the tops of my posts, and I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function use_codepress() in /home2/sarahtha/public_html/wp-content/themes/thesis_17/lib/admin/admin.php on line 42

Apparently this is a bug that happened from upgrading to 3.0. I googled how to fix it, but I then felt like I might be getting over my head and cause my website not to work at all...so I thought I'd check with you before I did anymore fiddling. I found this article and started to follow these instructions then I got scared and didn't: http://nabtron.com/wordpress-f.....nt-page-1/

Any ideas?

THANKS!

Sarah

Sarah, there is an easier set of directions for resolving this on the Thesis forum and can be found here.  Let me know if you need more help working through it.

However, I strongly caution AGAINST using the custom file editor anyway.  The problem with using the custom file editor is that you can introduce errors that make your site inaccessible.  Your best bet is to get your local file structure and your website synchronized with Filezilla - As shown in lesson 4 of the "Start Building Your Website Here" series.

Next follow the process for editing your custom files laid out in either the introduction to editing PHP, or the introduction to editing CSS lessons.

Thanks, Rick. I have files synchronized with Filezilla and then I got confused with some later videos. I'm going to watch the 2nd video again that you mentioned and look for the part I got confused with and then ask you for some clarity. 🙂 Thank you!
