Since posts can have thumbnail images, I thought I might add some based on which Court decided the case.

For instance, have a:

  • "US" text button image for Supreme Court
  • "1st Cir" text button image for the 1st Circuit, "2nd Cir" for 2nd Circuit, etc.
  • "Tax" text button image for the Tax Court"

" Tax"  above "Memo" for Tax Court Memorandum Decisions.  (Basically the words are stacked on top of each other.)  Da Button Factory doesn't let me stack the words.

Is there an easy, quick way I can do this?

Obviously, I would like to standardize the size.

Thank-you.

The easy way to do that is to use the Thesis Post Image and Thumbnail function on your page edit screen.  You have complete control of the size of the thumbnail, it's location and style.

So that means that I can use Thesis to standardize the size.

But, how do I create the thumbnail to start with?

You have two choices for creating a thumbnail.

  1. Create all of your thumbnail images the size and configuration you want them in in PhotoShop or Paint.net or whatever, upload them to the media library and then add them to the posts using the Thesis Post Image and Thumbnail function on the post edit screen.  This will give you the most control over the output.
  2. Add Post Images using the same Thesis Post Image function.  Specify the size and configuration of the typical thumbnail in Thesis Design Options.  Thesis will automatically crop the image down to size, although you have no control over how it does that.
